Cunningham Sheet Metal Ownership Timeline

1908
Horace William Cunningham founded the company at 26 years old. The company was named Cunningham Sheet Metal Works at is inception. Located at 69 Lincoln Rd. (now 533 Lincoln) Horace was born in Paris Ontario in 1882.
1928
A new shop was built at 414 Kildare Rd. (now 1478 Kildare), and a second location was also built in Chatham.
1942
Clarence Cunningham purchases the business from father Horace.
1974
Alex Armstrong and Jack Allen purchase Windsor location from Clarence. The Chatham location was sold separately. Windsor is renamed ‘Cunningham Sheet Metal’ and Chatham is renamed ‘Cunningham Sheet Metal Works’.
1983
Bob Gibson and John Attenborough purchase from Alex and Jack.
1997
Angelo Benvenuto and Brian Attenborough purchase from Bob and John.
2000
Angelo buys out partner Brian Attenborough.
April 2012
Carlo Cerroni and Rino Tedesco purchase the company from Angelo with Carlo running the day to day operations. Angelo remains on as a consultant for a year or so to help with the ownership transition.

April 2015
Cunningham Sheet Metal (Windsor) Ltd. moves to a 11,000 sqft. industrial plant at 2060 Blackacre Dr in Oldcastle next door to sister company AC Metal Fabricating.
November 2016
Justin Marchand partners with Carlo and Rino and takes over the day-to-day operations.
Present day
To this day both Windsor and Chatham locations are still operating but under separate ownership. Chatham goes by its original name ‘Cunningham Sheet Metal Works Inc.’ and Windsor is now ‘Cunningham Sheet Metal (Windsor) Ltd.’
The Kildare shop still remains and is owned and occupied by Justin’s Auto Repair. Owner Justin Lapointe has embraced the buildings heritage and restored many of the original aspects of the building.
